Last night we gathered virtually with the Theatre of Wine to try some lovely wines from the Loire Valley. A really relaxed and well organised taste-along via Zoom. Lots of great intel on the producers, the region and grape varieties, and interesting questions from our fellow gatherers. Jason & Thomas were super-knowledgable and great to have Alison reading questions from the chat to keep the session flowing. Next week theatre of wine are featuring Greco-Roman wines and we definitely recommend getting involved - see our list of upcoming gatherings.

What we learnt

  • Don’t be afraid to lightly chill your reds (especially as room temp is much higher atm) to freshen them up but remember to set a timer so you don’t forget about them!

  • Pinot Noir is the Muhammad Ali of wine, light on its feet but packs a punch! If you’re looking for well made wines at a decent price then look at the Loire.
