Langham Wine Estate Tour & Tasting
Happy English Wine Week! Last month, I had the pleasure of visiting Langham Wine Estate in Dorset, I tasted their delicious sparklers and took the dogs for a wander around the vineyard to see the beautiful budburst, when the dormant vines wake up in spring.
The estate sits on 30 acres of chalk soil, perfect for producing classic Champagne grape varieties - Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier - proven when they where awarded International Wine & Spirit Competition Sparkling Wine Producer of the Year in 2020, beating the major champagne houses!
A self-guided tour and tasting is only a tenner and includes a sample of three Langham wines, information on the wines and a detailed map so you can explore the vineyard. it’s a beautiful spot and the team were super-welcoming. I only regret not staying for lunch as the food looked amazing!
I thoroughly recommend a visit to a vineyard, it’s always such a magical experience, and we’re lucky to have so many excellent producers on our doorstep. Check out the Wine GB website to find one near you.
